Range of Experience

        Mr. Hrehor has thirty years of diversified experience in the energy industry. Mr. Hrehor left Price Waterhouse Energy Utility Consulting practice in 1994 and co-founded Harrington & Hrehor Energy Consulting, an independent energy consulting practice. His extensive industry experience includes the management and strategic direction of the marketing, transportation, energy supply operation, gathering and con­struction functions of energy entities, in addition to skills and discipline associated with budgeting, long-range planning and restructuring activities arising from mergers and consolidation. Ron’s broad professional strengths include successful negotiation, conceptual, analytical, and strategic planning skills backed by a comprehensive techni­cal knowledge of the energy industry. Mr. Hrehor has conducted consulting engagements throughout the world focusing on initiatives to implement retail customer choice including the associated market reformation, operations, infrastructure and energy trading issues that must be addressed.  He provides expert testimony on operational, gas transportation, rates and asset valuation matters.


Professional and Business Experience

        In Mr. Hrehor’s consulting capacities, he provides business, technical, regulatory and expert advisory services to primarily clients in the natural gas sector of the energy industry. One area of focus is emerging domestic and international market reformation initiatives designed to introduce competition and accomplish customer choice at the retail level.  He has performed work such as the following:

Mr. Hrehor provides expert analysis and testimony in litigation and regulatory proceedings in the areas of strategy, operations, trading and valuations.    

At Price Waterhouse, Mr. Hrehor was responsible for the Houston office of the Firm’s Gas Practice.  In addition to directing and participating in numerous client engagements, Mr. Hrehor established new markets related to end-user procurement strategies and natural gas futures.

At Brown, Williams, Scarborough and Quinn, Mr. Hrehor provided consulting services to numerous gas clients in areas such as the following:

At MidCon Services, Mr. Hrehor, in addition to his department head responsibilities, was Chairman of the Transportation and Exchange Restructuring Task Force.  This group’s work scope was to present a plan to management for the combination of the transportation departments of United Gas PipeLine, United Texas Transmission, and Natural Gas Pipeline.

At Natural Gas Pipeline, in addition to his department head responsibilities, Mr. Hrehor was active in the engagement of a variety of other assignments, such as follows:
